GRIA was recently awarded the Clean Up, Green Up Grant from the Keep Maryland Beautiful Grant Program. Keep Maryland Beautiful grants are provided by the Maryland Environmental Trust in partnership with the Maryland Department of Transportation and the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development.
Our Clean Up, Green Up grant allows us to hold weekly litter pick up nights and popsicle events at Sisson St Park. Every Thursday this summer, starting on June 7th, interested residents will meet at the Sisson St Park shipping container at 6:00 pm and begin a litter walk through Remington. Each walk will last for an hour and be led by an experienced neighbor. The walk will conclude back at Sisson St Park where participants can join in on the weekly popsicle night event.
GRIA will provide trash grabbers, gloves, and trash bags. Just bring yourself!
