Interested in gardening but just can’t find the time or don’t have the space? Want to learn more about growing your own food? Want to help teach others in the neighborhood about the importance of gardening?
Then come on out to the Garden Workshops on Sundays from 4 – 6 pm. Snacks and water are provided (last week was peaches!). We meet next to the Green Mount School on 30th St. (behind Potts and Callahan), and we also travel throughout the neighborhood to places like Stony Run, the Village Green, and random pear trees (did you know there was one on Cresmont, just full of delicious pears?). We have a grant from the Baltimore Community Foundation to get some cool supplies and grow some great food – now all we need are the participants! People of any age are welcome. If you have kids or know of kids who would like to be involved, bring them! The more the merrier.
Please respond to info.gria@gmail.com by this Friday at 5 pm if you’re interested in attending the workshops on Sundays. Please include your phone number so we can give you a call this weekend. Even if you can’t make it this week but want to get involved, please respond so we can add you to the list. And if you can, spread the word! We want as many people as possible to take advantage of this awesome, FREE opportunity.
Thanks,
– Eric
