There’s three big things happening pretty soon in Remington:
1. Mayor’s Spring Clean Up: Saturday April 16 at 9:00 am
Meet Bill Cunningham at Kromer Hall (335 West 27th Street) at 9:00 am on Saturday to clean up Remington during the Mayor’s Spring Clean Up. We’ll be one of hundreds of groups cleaning up all around the city!
Tools and supplies will be provided.
2. GRIA Elections and Annual Meeting: Monday April 18 at 7:00 PM
Join us for the Greater Remington Improvement Association’s Annual Meeting on April 18th at Kromer Hall (335 West 27th Street) and elect the 2011-2012 Board of Directors. This is also our annual potluck, so bring your favorite dish to share!
There are currently 7 slots on the GRIA Board of Directors including four officer positions: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. We are fortunate to have several incumbents re-running for their position including Judith Kunst for president, Bill Cunningham for treasurer, Kelly Coleman for secretary, and Betsy Childs for member at large. If you would like to run for office or nominate someone for any of these posts, please e-mail info.gria@gmail.com with your name or the name of the person you are nominating and the position you are seeking, if you are seeking an office.
Please remember that only members in good standing may vote during the elections (as defined by GRIA’s bylaws as being up-to-date on membership dues and having attended at least three (3) meetings in the previous twelve (12) month period).
3. Remington Community Walk: Wednesday April 20 at 7:00 PM
Join your neighbors and a Northern District Community Liaison Officer to walk Remington! Wear your walking shoes and join your neighbors in partnership for a safer, stronger, cleaner Remington (Friends, children and dogs are welcome!).

The Walk is cancelled if:

-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â It is 90 degrees or above
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â It is raining at 6:00 PM
