GREATER REMINGTON IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION
I am sorry to share with you that a homicide has been committed on the 2600 block of Huntingdon Avenue (Sun article link). I am currently in contact with the Northern Police District, our elected representatives, and other community leaders. As more information becomes available, I will share it with you via this e-mail list.
This is to remind you that the first Remington Community Walk of 2011 is today, Wednesday, March 30th. As Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake will be joining GRIA on this walk, we are moving the walk up half-an-hour to 6:30 PM (instead of 7:00 pm). We will also be joined by Northern District Police Officers, who will talk with us about safety in our community.
Information about the Remington Community Walk:
When? Wednesday, March 30 at 6:30 PM
Where? Meet at the Church of the Guardian Angel – Kromer Hall, 335 West 27th Street
Inclement Weather Policy:
The Walk is cancelled if:
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â It is 32 degrees or below
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â It is 90 degrees or above
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â It is raining at 6:00 PM
